The guys who helped me (I believe it was Steven and Reagan, apologies if I’m misspelling the names) not only got things back up and running with a new GFCI switch, but explained to me why the strange wiring in my house was likely done the way it was, how I can keep the outlets from flipping that switch so much (hint: don’t have an extension cord plugged in outside year-round where water can get in it), why GFCI switches might fail constantly after being flipped enough times, and what I could do with the outlets themselves if I ever wanted to make a more permanent change to the way they are being flipped at a central point.”
